We Always Say Goodbye

Returning to a far off shore, Lonely charter, transport flown, (crumping, blastwave, dust choked) Another bright day dimmed, Wine turned, bitter heart, Cruel hours stretched across salt pan of days, (numbing, burnt hair sharpness) Shining faces, recede as stars at dawn, July 4th crescendo, faded, another sky turned gray, (warmer slick, cold fragment broke) light shimmer’d, taunted oasis, crooning to a warmer sun, As I fall to dreaming, It’s as if… (plasma drip’d, saline soaked, world'a whirl) We always say goodbye.
