We Almost
WE ALMOST –IT’S JUST ALMOST
We fail to draw the line between facts and fairytales
We fight with our backs against the wall-wars of life
We hope for the hopeless that they will meet our needs
We stand for true cause that cause us to conform to discomfort
We almost won the war, it’s just almost, it never happened
We almost went to heaven-instead we ended up in hell
We almost got saved, yet died as a sinner, hope to make it
We speak of the unseen into existence, I lost faith, i almost got it
We walk with our faith in our pockets, hoping for almost
We almost won the battle, it’s just almost, it never happened
We almost got married-claiming what is was not yours
We almost died if it was not for him; it was just not your day
We almost got paid for our iniquities, yet he paid for us
We were lost but found; we almost lost optimism, almost
We almost won the fight, it’s just almost, it never happened
We wish all we dreamt could come to pass-almost got it
We wish wishes, wish we couldn’t have wished, it was just almost
We were born out wishes that never became reality, but almost
We are eager to finish school; you are almost done, if you don’t fail
We almost lost the match, it’s just almost, it never happened
We love hard and we break easily wishing the present were the past
We hate to love, because our present is the mistake of yesterday
We know the past, focusing on the moment, not certain of tomorrow
We easily remember the hurtful-hard to remember the good when we are hurt
We almost forgot about that-it like you almost forgot you are good person
