Wasn'T It Just Yesterday

Wasn't it just yesterday When we were young and free? He took your lovely hand in his Forever love to be The decades passed too quickly And last songs have been sung Beautiful, sweet sister You're now forever young You've flown from earth unto The King Forever now joy's song to sing Around your head a crown you wore Of love, and peace your heart implored Now all is done on earth and said And now a new crown for your head Sleep won't come to us tonight But you're now free... dressed all in white Tears are falling here, like rain But we know we'll see you again Past the pain and past the tears Far beyond these golden years I cannot grasp that you are gone But love will live forever on My Comfort: The Assurance of the Resurrection 5 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. 6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. ~NKJV Till we meet again dear sister, my gaze is turned upward toward heaven where you dance in the Light of our Lord. Seriously, your sister is just so lovely. I am sorry for your loss and find the poems you penned to be heartfelt and beautiful. I felt your pain when reading it, and I'm sure she will read this wonderful eulogy.

Thank you Sotto, she is, I can only imagine how beautiful she must be in heaven's glorious light. My heart has been broken to have her gone from this earth, but I know she is gloriously free, happy, and alive forever. What a beautiful encouragement to me, that she will read it, I hope she has. I know she knows she is dearly loved, and we miss her dreadfully. I know too, she wants us to be happy and live our lives to the fullest as she had. She was so loved by so many <3 Thank you for your visit and this encouragement, such a blessing to me.

I know that she rejoices in heaven, so in that comfort and peace, I must focus, until she meets me at the gates of heaven. Thank you for stopping by with your kind words my friend.

Thank you Silent One, she is! Her beautiful soul shined right out through her beautiful earthen vessel, vibrant life and love. I am so proud of her. It was as if she always set the bar higher to try to leap over, but not just for herself, in a loving way she encouraged all of us to reach higher, and higher. I once told her that I couldn't prepare for a wedding of one of my children that was to take place at the drop of a hat! The wedding was to happen within days, not weeks or months! She gravely told me "You will, because you have to." That was that. If she knew I could do it, I could. The wedding was beautiful despite the lack of much planning, and she was there to help. When I feel I can't do something I always hear those words, and do what I can to make that dream come true, it was her essence, her life in action for all to see <3 I know she knows we love her, and I believe she probably has read this poem <3 Thank you SO, you are a beautiful soul and lift my heart so much :)

Sally, I will come over and look for the poem you wrote <3 My husband has cried many tears with me, and for his own heartbreak over this tragic loss. If God holds our tears in a bottle as I once read in the Bible, altogether there will be gallons gathered together for this deep, deep loss. Your empathy and love has truly touched my heart. I have heard from others to not be so emotional at one time in my life, so I tried not to be, That is to the wind now, God gave us tears to cry <3

She is very loved, such a blessing. We were lucky to have decades that we were told we probably would not have, so, we are so very blessed with so many happy memories. She almost died of her disease of crohn's. I know that name is supposed to have a capital letter, but I hate that wicked disease so much I don't exactly feel like honoring it with a capital, so it will get a lower-case c for me. She is missed so very much. We are lucky to have had many more years than was once expected <3

BJ, and “Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted,” in time. To write such beauty while you mourn, surely Our Holy Lord and Our beloved Holy Spirit have ahold of you. Sally, your words bring tears to my eyes, and my heart is comforted by your sweet words and visit. We know our Lord has her, she loved Him so, and her life was such a testimony of love and joy in life, and in Him. She almost died at fourteen years old with this dreadful disease, but the Lord blessed her with vibrant health and service to Him through her life. She was never to have children, she was blessed with six of them on earth, and those she miscarried are in heaven with her now. We are comforted even now, and the prayers lifted for us are helping. Thank you so much, hugs to you Sally, may our Lord bless you <3

Thank you, Karen, our families have been sharing photographs and many memories of the joy we have had with her in our lives. I had tried to make pretty things for Christmas, in memory of her, now I will just try to rest in the arms of comfort and not try to do so much, I just can't. I know how hard it is for you to reconcile with your loss. Only faith can come to your consolation in this most trying situation. Your comme nt and love are like a warm hug of sweetness Valsa, such comfort I find in your words my sweet friend. "Let the Heavenly King crown her with glory " Amen Lord, crown your daughter with the crown of Life <3 I know God knew from the foundations of the earth the number of her days here, he isn't surprised that she entered into the realm of heaven asking "Why are you here so soon? You were supposed to live another twenty years like your grandma and mother!" No, He knew. We know she's with Him. We will miss her dreadfully, but somehow, need to focus our eyes on heaven where we know she's fine <3

This is a brand-new loss for our family, she died last Sunday, so our hearts are still aching tremendously. Our focus is trying to lift to heaven where we are confident that she is fine, we're just really going to be lonesome for her here, especially her hubby of 54 years, their children and grandbabies. Thank you, Anna, yes, I cling to your sentiments. I know she is united with those who have entered into the joyous realm of heaven before her, and met her there when she arrived <3 I have to try to lift my eyes from the sorrow of this earth and focus on heaven. I've had to do this far too many times in the past as we lost loved ones. I know she is ok and with those who went on before us. Your visit, words and love are such a comfort to me. Thank you for your compassionate hugs, love, and precious thoughts to us Deb. I so appreciate you <3 It's certainly been a shock to us, to lose her. Though her illness had flared up, we thought she'd beat it as she had in the past. Focusing on heaven, and trying to decorate and get ready for Christmas, my heart isn't in it down here on earth. She would be so sad if we didn't try to make Christmas a joy for all the children here, so we are trying. Your loving comments have been such a comfort to me, thank you so much Deb <3
