War Freaks and Pawns
A shameful waste, a woeful loss,
over there, from both camps, perished,
massacred, a great multitude;
and with them, are those of the most
sterling qualities getting killed
as hapless and helpless chess pawns;
all for the seemingly brave shrieks
and stirring verbal heroics
of the deified demagogues
in red robes of bloated power,
spewing ruthless authority,
deadened touch of humanity !
