War and Peace

Some consecrate the carnage Of war and infantry; Or the argosy of navy’s Crusading far at sea. Battles have their triumph When the gun is in the glove, But the pageantry of war Can't replace that crush called love. For love holds more than power It invades the soul within; While the slaughter of mankind Is extrinsic in its sin. So, then my heart must follow To the one who waits for me, And the silence that's between us Gives peace eternally.

This is so sad the wars, but the unseen war over ones spirit and soul is what matters, this world can not touch what God can place inside, love and God bless you

Dear Lizzi, What a wonderful poem I have read today! Thanks for sharing. No doubt what love conquers with serenity and peace without shedding any blood is much greater and much honorable than what war has ever achieved. Great. It is wonderful to see your heart-warming comments on my poem Life. I am grateful to you for your lavish words of praise. You have always been so kind. God bless you. Love. -Mohammad

Love the way you have weaved words into such a beautiful poem. And with such a meaningful message for all of humanity, especially given the countless wars we have engaged ourselves in. Indeed, love does hold more than power! Thank you also for your words of appreciation for my poem "Legacy of Errors":)
