War
Can you see what you have done
to our daughters and sons
They went away to fight in your war
Some returned home displaying
behavioral problems; traumatized and lost
Can you see what you have done
to our daughters and sons
Others returned home with missing limbs
You gave them a prosthetic leg or arm
Then you say they are healed
How many more wars do they have to fight
before you can see the devastation and
destruction, the loss of so many lives
Can you see what you have done
to our daughters and sons
