War

They were sent off to fight a war, Half of them don't even know what for, Fighting a war that one man could've stopped, A war that was started when those towers dropped, A war fought for power not freedom, Fought only because "they" said the country needs them, One mans greed took the lives of many men, And the reality is that no one will win, Some of them live, and some of them die, Some of them sigh, while others would cry, Some of them killed in stealth, Some of them killed themselves, Some of them live on, And some of them are gone, Some went back to war, Some couldn't take much more, They gave their own lives to save another, Gave their lives to save a brother, The war still goes on, Those still there are holding strong, Though we are miles apart, Every one of them is in our hearts.
