Wanting
I love you without surrender or
Abandonment, without stars or the
Months fragrance, without need or
Desire.
I love you as nothing is my own.
I love you as the night steals life.
I love you as you move through me
And the Earth is born.
I do not love you as a shatter, an arrived
Kiss, a ardent dream, but as a feed root
Constructing my timber dropped by memory
Into a thick skin of time.
I love you as time loves passage.
I love you as a curved ending needs
The slender of dawn.
I love all your places, quiet and feathers,
Blood as soil, infinity starts in you, dust
And June, I love you for everything that
Begins and lives in me.
In the end, I love you for the darkness you bring
And the eternal light.
In the end, I love you now
As always.
