Wandering Heart

Wandering heart what will you do now? You have reveled on mountains, Sailed upon seas, Bathed in the moonlight, Sang with a breeze. Nothing could harm you, Not once did you fear. Life flowed like spring rivers, So sweet and so clear. Now time has approached you, You must pause and take rest. Your journeys near over You still look for the best. With pages all full As your time fades away, Without any regrets You are anxious to stray. But nothing can ever replace what you've seen. And nothing will ever recapture a dream. The quest for the prize you were never to find, Still burns in your soul and troubles your mind. Wandering heart where will you go next?

oh my, I do know this feeling We get older and we wonder what might still be out there. this one is very special and I am honored to not only have found a poem of yours that is new to me, but to be the first one ever to comment here. It's very good, Francis. By the way, I am going to see my son's family in Oregon this weekend for the holiday. Kind of a long trip to take. So if you don't see me around that's why.
