Walking On Water

There is so much more that you can’t find Can’t see And can’t understand You are young And unwilling Look off into the depths to find what you are missing Dive under deep to see the forgotten Truths This is the place you’ve been waiting to be your whole life The place of becoming The place where you are immediately Bounced up to another level In society’s eyes The community will see you differently You will see you differently Your family will see you differently The world will see you differently You are not a child now You are on your own And the world has finally accepted that What will you do with yourself What will you do with your life Do you not understand the burden you carry The responsibility you carry There is a folded sheet of ice beneath you Trembling and waiting to see if you break through A fine thin lighted ice of protection When that ice is broken you will fall through Under the depths of the world Where you will feel Doomed and destined To fail Until you find a way to swim back to the ice To the dock The place where you originally walked off To walk on water You will find that this task is impossible alone And that you need some help People will dry your clothes for you People will lend you a hand People will give you warm tea And new clothes So do not fear falling in Falling is a part of life And walking on water without people to hold your hands Or strings to hold you up is impossible

Dogonit, this is so full of lifes experiences I don't know where to begin. I kept waiting for the connection with walking on water, and when I get to the last part of the poem, you reveal the connection. Good work, and I recall Jesus saying "and greater things than these you shall do..." so in a way, walking on water is not a great problem, we all do it at times. Good work.
