Walking At Sunset
Late sunlight bleeding over horizon
leaves remnant colors.
Hues of orange and violet
shade traces of a passing day.
Reflections stir memories
and questions about who I am,
and what I’ve become.
Stillness from endless skies
calls from eternities
and speaks to my finite life
in waking and in my dreams.
I listen to a resonance
of fears and strife
while waking, senses filled
with melancholy and wonder.
Questions without answers
whisper inner conversations.
