Walking a Thin Line

When I awoke not even for a second did I think That this day could be my last Just a normal day in the middle of a life Now left on the brink The lives of friends hurt and lost They made no difference to me Never learning any lesson from the mistakes seen Traveling down the same road at the same cost As I lay here all alone The memories begin to flash Everything that I've known Could have spared me life's crash Now walking this thin line The line between life and death The difference of fiction and reality Now with every breath I begin to see my own mortality
