One percenters plan to be crowned While ninety nines won’t make a sound We quiet dumb fools Know the rich make the rules And our heads seem stuck underground Author's Note: 158 families have contributed about half of the funds to presidential campaigns thus far. What do you think that means? We are about to see the persuasive power of wealth in full force. The odd part is that there are more of us than them, so they have to convince us that it is in our interest to vote for their guy. I am not drinking their cool-aid. I will support Bernie Sanders. The really bizarre thing is that the 0.01 percenters are not satisfied and won't even leave us the crumbs. It would be in their interest to do so in order to preserve the status quo which so favors them. But they want more!

Yes Connie, I put sticking to principles and true values as my top considerations for deciding who to vote for. It's too bad that Elizabeth Warren isn't running since we would also like to see a woman in the white house!!

Thanks Andrea. I haven't seen it, but there was a lot of fraud in the mortgage market leading up to the crash of 2008/2009. The perpetrators have never been held accountable and some of them were closely involved in the structure of the recovery. The victims were never compensated properly. This was capitalism run amok, unfortunately.

Great to see again the limerick working on a political commentary, Duke. I believe our current gov't is manned mostly by people intent on cleaning it of corruption but with the election coming next year, everything hangs in the balance. It's a worldwide malady.

If I didn't care, it would seem comical. We appear to be headed towards rule by oligarchy...a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution. I think they are just fools. I don't think they realize we are on the same planet. No walls separate us when it comes to water, air and micro-organisms. The net effect is disaster.
