Waiting On You?

Here I am, smiling up at you.. Looking past me, you see right through. Can I tell you about my day? You stare at me, with few words to say. Are we still married? I feel alone. Longing to talk, I reach for the phone. Going astray has a taunting appeal.. Betrayal and hurt could become real. Wantonness invites me to its fold.. My sacred vows have not yet been sold. It's only but, a fleeting thought.. Cloaked attention but, at what cost? My heart would not feel the same.. No matter how we played this game. I love you now and always will.. My candle still burns, on your window sill.

A very well written and interesting piece, reminds me of teo people who have grown to comfortable with each other. The one still longs for the love they first shared and the other taking life and wife for granted. Thanks for reminding that we need to take care of and work at our relationships.
