Waiting On You?
Here I am, smiling up at you..
Looking past me, you see right through.
Can I tell you about my day?
You stare at me, with few words to say.
Are we still married? I feel alone.
Longing to talk, I reach for the phone.
Going astray has a taunting appeal..
Betrayal and hurt could become real.
Wantonness invites me to its fold..
My sacred vows have not yet been sold.
It's only but, a fleeting thought..
Cloaked attention but, at what cost?
My heart would not feel the same..
No matter how we played this game.
I love you now and always will..
My candle still burns, on your window sill.
