Waiting For Tomorrow
Once, I believed that time
would carry my pain
and sadness away;
the more time elapsed,
the more I became frustrated
By grace, I met an old, wise man
who solved my problem
with only two questions
“Can a bird wait for worms
to come to her nest,
to be enjoyed by her chicks?”
“Can a hunter heal from a snake’s
venom, by just staring at a doctor?”
The answer finally came!
To enjoy life, I had to invite joy
deep within my soul, making me to see
myself as part of a miracle,
in a bubble called the Universe
“Never wait for happiness or hope
that your soul will be healed by tomorrow,
for it will never come;
happiness is in the present moment,
if only you can find it” the old,
wise man finally concluded
