Waiting For the Funeral
How many times had she celebrated
longed for his coming death
sat imagining her great freedom
the wealth she so richly deserved
No more of his groping
hungering for her essence
she had satisfied him many times
treated him to all her portals
pleasured him to the altar
He denied her nothing
her aspirations went higher than her skirt
how long would this sentence last
certainly longer than their conversations
he was fluent in the art of need
she had thought of killing him
yet she lacked the will
hoping he might take one too many blue pills
So she could ride him to her dreams
suffocate him with one final kiss
her appetite for love unrestrained
she desired her pleasure mixed with pain
he couldn't hurt her in the ways that mattered
she found her release in the arms of another
not all things done in the dark remain secret
A young woman died today
a terrible accident we're told
his assistant is there to comfort him
they'll be engaged in just a few short weeks
after all, the man has his needs
