Waiting For a Train

Standing at the station, waiting for a train, I turn my collar up against the rain. In my bags a dream or two For now they will have to do. I've traveled down this road before Searching for an open door. Waiting for a morning train, Waiting, waiting all in vain. So many dreams are lost How unbearable the cost. But dreams are easy to come by As common as key lime pie. The train is so very late. How much longer do I wait? Time is fleeting, so they say What matters another day? Standing at the station, waiting for a train, I turn my collar up against the rain.

this was a great piece you wrote Heidie, it reminds me of when i was a kid i use to take the train a lot. to compare dreams are easy to come by as common as key lime pie, that was a very clever line.
