Waiting

I often wondered how Tolstoy found the time to write War and Peace. I am now confident I know how, In fact I am sure I know how. He wrote it when for a hospital appointment he did show, Without a cell phone to help the time flow, So, he borrowed ink and feather, To put a few words together, The waiting seeming to take forever, More words he put together, Until the whole story was down on paper, For his secretary to gather together, While he was wheeled into theatre.

Your poem is very nice, and resonates with me, David. I, too, have written poems while waiting, though I never happened to write one in a hospital waiting room. Best wishes. :)

I do same. Wrote this poem while I was waiting for my op plus one other plus had book. I also take copies of poems to give to Nurses and Doctors. A nurse suggested I write a poem on waiting. So many situations you can have fun in, or choose not to. Enjoy your day to Darlene.
