Wagnuka Wihinape
The music in the wind Natures voice a treasure From clouds thundering drums or when the red headed beats a melody As a lonesome love pines like a wolf’s prayer with nightway’s healing rhythmic rattle of leaves An enchanted gift from the cedar bough To draw lovers closer listening to the breeze From the ancient airs of peace Little raindrops from heaven Like mustangs running free As the first people still seek A Love song upon a flute The fruit of tranquil harmony Our breath becomes one under the sun ~ Note - Native American Love Flute Legend - wagnuka (wah-gnuh-kah) woodpecker (redheaded) wihinape (wee-hee-nah-pay) sunrise
