Virgin Paper

Blank white waiting for an excretion of ink to fill imaginary lines. Virgin paper held in reams repudiate the poet's pen, this stark silent bond naked of any water mark. Two sides to the story unwritten imaginary lives wait in the wings.

What do you mean by "Hope you will come back soon", Sue? Hey, I've never been away from PoetrySoup to begin with! I still follow it daily and I still enjoy it. I just can't seem to write at all lately, that's all. The muse momentarily deserted me, I guess (for fear of being de-virginized!!! Ha ha ha). But thanks for the thoughts. You take care, Sue. Regards, Fred

The last 2 lines are sheet perfection. I love the whole poem though! "Repudiate the poet's pen" is especially fine alliteration. BTW - I made a mistake when I gave "Mother" as the category for my poem "What Lies Beneath" - That must have seemed an even more bizarre poem. Thanks! :-)

Very creative thoughts and I can feel a connection, surely I do. After being deserted by my muse and having lost the ability to write these past several months, I wish I could reclaim that ability again so I could, hmm, start "de-virginizing" again!!! Honestly though, I prefer to de-virginize, er, write my piece direct into my computer, not on a piece of virgin paper. That way, the poetic debauchery will be much faster! LOL. Good piece you've got here, Sue, I like it. Regards, Fred

o i find this to be a very original thought in how it's to blank sheet with a writer wanting to put words but none, and yet you have with just describing the situation, very good
