Being alive
Trying to thrive
It is hard
Be on guard

Heads in a spin
What World am I in?
Thoughts come crashing
A knife is slashing

Blood is red
Am I dead?
No, it’s real
Cos I still feel

I want to be numb
But that is dumb
It’s life or death
Is this my last breath?

The attackers’ stare
Their violence they share
I fight for life
But I’m in strife

My eyes stop seeing
My soul stops being
The darkness grows
The silence flows.
