View Through a Jester's Tear

Sinking faster than a canon ball flies So much pain, not physical Caused purely by lies To speak true words of wisdom Some wisdom you must keep Everybody is laughing Whilst the joker weeps That laughter echoes through the air Howls and cackles but nobody cares The jester sits alone once more Unable to vacate Through the eternally closed door Pull as he might The hinges will not creek A never ending lifelong fight So all the joker does is weep The wounds caused by words They truly do cut deep Everybody is laughing Whilst the joker weeps That laughter echoes through the air Howls and cackles but nobody cares The jester sits in darkness once more Unable to exit Through that eternally closed door

The repetition makes a powerful write even more powerful! Perhaps you'd give me a blog comment? Light & Love (nice use of metaphor!)
