View From the Balcony

View From The Balcony Looking down from a balcony Watching the people scurry down below Rushing in and out of buildings Walking with someplace special to be Other dart back and forth with nowhere to go Lovers hold hands as they walk Some are all alone in their own world Motorcycles dart between stalled cars Skateboarders jump on and off curbs Strangers never meet They never take the time for a simple hello No one looks up or down Their only world is on the street Such in the loss of the Human race
