Victory Now Mine
Watching you go,
awakens my heart,
the pain of love,
saturates every part.
Forgotten tears,
safely put away,
now bring reminder,
of yesterday.
Careful footsteps,
fade into the crowd,
as you scream victory,
silent, yet loud.
A war now rages,
within my heart,
as you tried in vain,
right from the start.
Victory now mine,
as I wave goodbye,
while the devil of deceit,
gives it one last try.
