. Very long dry spell Each day warmth penetrates land A few clouds gather First a short rumble Chronic rolling thunder claps.. Oasis in storm

well we are waiting for that sound here in Florida,Sara. Suffering through a considerable drought. Pond all dried up and turtles have left for neighbors pond .... (the little traitors!) : ) cool choka. I need to see my fellow poets using these different forms to keep me inspired and reminded there are other forms! I tend to be lazy and complacent in rhyme and blame it all on time.... there I go again. :) Enjoyed

Very nice use of the form and great imagery, Sara. When you hear the thunder in the distance and you've been waiting for rain, it's almost like torment wishing it would head your way. Well said! Love, Carolyn
