Vernal Equinox

Asterisms flicker one sleek obsidian night; solstice slips away Snowdrop shoots nosing petals into bitter winds; first whispers of spring Sparkling laughter runs among the pebbles and reeds; melt-water music Bright blue, wet green days wash away winters lather; vernal equinox.

Your high praise is good enough for me PD. But why not put it up with other Soupers work? Ok. Done.

Michael, I like the reflection imagery in your first haiku, the dark lasting out the sun. This seems to be having a northerly motion, as Spring picks up the pace to reassure the ones in the Northern Hemisphere. I’m happy to say we Texans, have been enjoying the bright blues almost all year long… your haiku are awesome… Have yourself a nice one :-) always & forever* Linda

Sometimes reading a poem is like a first glass of wine after a long day; the bitter tang hits your pallet and the flavour only blossom when you swallow and breathe.
