Vanishing Wisdom
Vanishing Wisdom
For Rhonda Nelson and Dr. Leeland Green
“Sophocles, Plato, Socrates...
Burnt brightlier towards their setting-day,
Gentlemen.” “Ancient To Ancients” by Thomas Hardy
Time mourns its own passing
For the seasoned artisan,
Excellent at his skill,
Whose calendar has been filled,
And passed, and rapidly rushes
To that last burst of creativity,
After which others,
Will have to fill the breach
Left by their disappearance.
And though passion may drive their zeal
They have yet to master
What only experience will bring to their craft.
Now that you have got this far, leave a message and be a star!
Thank you
