Brian, it is a real pleasure to read this. It's also a pleasure to take time to listen to music from earlier times in our lives. Fortunately, it's so easy to do these days. I was listening to several songs just the other day, and it does take me back in thought to things not pondered for some time.

My appreciation, Duke, for your stop by and comment. Music of our youth has certainly long vanished, though occasionally included in a re-mix of rap or hip hop. But then so much vanishes or is transformed weekly. Be well. Brian

Hi Brian. I really love this poem. Music is the nearest thing we humans have to a time machine. It transports us. You have a wonderful way of weaving your words into life's great tapestry. I saw and heard The Drifters ("Kissing On The Back Row...") and Adam And The Ants (The video for "Prince Charming") playing somewhere inside this beautifully constructed mosaic - but that's just my take and I'm a sucker for the warm glow that nostalgia brings and for the music of my youth. Cheers - Gary

Thank you Sarah, for thoughtful words of support. Nostalgia runs through many of the lines so the piece may not gleen much attention. Nevertheless, your comments are uplifting. All the best, Brian

Dear Brian, you eloquently capture the fleeting nature of memory and the bittersweet dance of nostalgia. The imagery of lovers kissing in a movie back row and melodies turning pumpkins into coaches is both vivid and poignant. It's a the transient beauty in life's melodies, ever evolving yet etched in our souls. Such evocative verses. Blessings, Daniel

Hello Daniel. My appreciation for your supportive words. Yes, there is a nostalgia here for music our youth rocked to so many years ago. We still hear some grand songs today as I like Harry Styles "As It Was." But there's so much hard rap music now. I am gladdened to read your thoughts of approval on my posting. Thank you. Brian
