Valentine Advice

Flowers – pretty flowers Some women love the thought Ones that you might pick yourself Or even ones you bought But some women feel flowers Too quickly fade and die Then equate that to their love life Check with her before you buy And really how much candy Should you really give someone Enough to say “I love you” And maybe get some clothes undone But not so much she asks you flat “Do you think these pants make my butt look fat?” So if your loved one is prone To ask that very question Maybe you should drop the sweets And take my next suggestion Just tell her that you love her No more – and God, no less Tell her that of all you’ve known She really tops the rest Tell her that you’ll be there Whenever she needs you Be forthright and be honest That’s all you really have to do And if you can do it From time to time In sweetly worded Metered rhyme You’ll find that most girls Just love a poet It worked for me And now you know it Mdailey 2/13/12

The last verse sure appeals to me Mike; any girl would treasure what you say and I guess the last two lines are a witness ! :)

Thank you for showing me my mistakes. I got caught up in the note and forgot to proof read. Now, let me read this poem and see if I can say something worthwhile. Well, I've gotta say, you have a way with clever rhyming words. It's nice to know you try to show it's not all for the birds.
