Used To Be, Now Im Free
I used to be different. I used to
be just like you. I used to think,
to feel, to say, to do anything I
wanted to. I'm not that person
anymore, it comes at a price.
I'm forgiven because someone
sacrificed. His name is Jesus.
The rock on which I stand. He
was nailed on a cross, hand by
hand. I decided that I didn't
want to live a life for myself
anymore, because before, I
was torn. Unsure of my destiny,
heaven or hell, I decided to
stop running. Honestly, looking
back at where I've been, it was
the best decision I've ever
made. To make God my true
father, I've never been the
same. I have this hope as an
anchor for my soul, firm and
secure. I have hope for a
future, getting brighter the
more I venture into the dark of
this world. So today, if you feel
empty, broken, useless, stolen,
taken advantage of, forgotten
and made fun of, there's a God
who really cares about you. All
you have to do is accept him,
and he'll accept you for you.
