Listen to poem:
You came to me on a Winter's day
and tried to take my pain away,
with tenderness and your desire,
you tried to light an ashen fire
But I was cold to your embrace,
empty heart filled with empty space
My days have felt a chill again,
this coldest storm with stronger wind
To have seen the sun, watch it fall,
hear the sound when my heart grew mall
When love was gone and left no trace,
from yesterdays that were misplaced
I've crossed a bridge and left my pride
to find a place my love to hide
You are a friend, to share a need
My loneliness you won't impede
