Up Inside the Trees
UP INSIDE THE TREES
I sit and sit all day, thinking of a way
A way to just get through each and every day
I think of all the ways, the ways I could take it all away
Its funny how life works, euphoria one day and the next a flop
Like a roller coaster going down the drop, stomach in a knot, than comes the plot
Down for the count and fading quick, holding on to all I can grasp
Gun in your hand, finger on the trigger, just make it fast
Drowning in a pool of fire with nothing but a life raft
Lowest point and no light to be seen
Feeling like a sight just waiting to be unseen
But what goes down must come up
Sometimes you just got to take a gut punch
Escape is all that is left for me
Just run away and set me free
To a place that’s all too familiar, up inside the trees
