Up At the North Pole
Up on the Housetop
1. Up on the housetop reindeer pause,
Out jumps Good Old Santa Claus
Down through the chimney with lots of toys
All for the little good girls and boys
Ref: Ho, ho ho! Who wouldn't go? Ho, ho ho! Who wouldn't go?
Up on the housetop, click, click, click
Down through the chimney with good Saint Nick
2. First comes the stocking of little Nell
Oh, dear Santa fill it well
Give her a dolly that laughs and cries
One that will open and shut it's eyes
3. Next comes the stocking of little Will
Oh, just see what a glorious fill
Here is a hammer and lots of tacks
A whistle and a ball and a whip that cracks
Up at the North Pole
1. Up at the North Pole, without lauds,
There sits Mrs. Santa Claus.
Making all the gifts for girls and boy,
All for the little ones’ Christmas joys.
Ref: Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn’t sit? Ho, ho, ho, who wouldn’t sit?
Up at the North Pole, click, click, click,
Sitting there with Mrs. Nick.
2. She’s the one who makes all the gifts,
Rules the workshop, fills the lists,
Makes sure that little Nell gets her fill
and that it’s all there for little Will.
3. She’s there baking through night and day,
So Santa leaves without delay.
Makes sure that Santa’s sleigh is full,
but not so much the reindeer can’t pull.
