Up and Down

Today is nothing but today. Tomorrow is a day forced in my way. Today is a romance embraced. Tomorrow I’ll be in the right place. Can you tell I’m up and down? Can you see my smile frown? Can you tell me I’ll be alright? Can you see my joy tonight? I feel lost and out of reach, I feel laughter in my speech, I feel relief when I use my pen, I feel sad, then write again. What if the sky was never blue? What if I had never met you? What if my happiness grew? What am I supposed to do? Is it normal to feel high then low? Is it normal to come then go? Is it normal to have joy in pain? Is it normal to have a clean stain? You probe us for answers and confirmation, Laura! I can assure you that ups and downs usually balance each other....there can't be one without the other. Always inquisitive, I love how you sculpted this work, with so many questions. What I took from this piece, was that you feel some sort of happiness and creativity no matter where you are in life's spectrum. A 7!
