Untitled I
When did the cost of living,
Become so expensive?
Working two fulltime jobs,
minimum wage,
Still cant afford to eat.
The lampshade,
Needs to be dusted again,
And so does the vase,
That my grandmother bought.
She covers up,
The bruises,
With makeup in the mirror.
Will this be convincing enough,
For them?
When will she realize,
That she is better than this?
When will she realize her skin,
Was meant to be caressed?
Not bruised.
When will she put a stop,
To his abuse?
His words do more damage,
Than her razor blades ever could.
