Without your words my life will not be the same
Yet I know that soon I must bid you farewell
I know not how best to cover up my shame
How from heaven to retrace my steps to hell
But till such time befalls I’ll hide away here
In the circle of your arms and love so dear
I’ll curtain from my heart what must come to be
As famished lips taste the love you feed to me

Hello SUNSHINE....Thanks for dropping by to bring me warmth and joy. Love you, Anne Lise....I read your poem about Orchids...Was too down to post a response, though those orchids in the window must be a sight to see...Hugs

Oh....I really need to read words like this just now. You adore this...that's kind and sweet. Thank you! I do love writing sonnets....They have a way of speaking to my heart. About the kissing....Yes, it's true....

Paul...your post couldn't have come at a better time. I'm SO SO discouraged. I don't understand. I get 500 views on a sonnet and it doesn't even place in a contest...how is this possible. I'm just so so low....I feel like throwing in the towel....Thanks for this lovely post. It brought tears.

Is this your first Rispetto? If so you have done an amazing job. I feel the longing and angst within your words. A very effective piece.

Hi, Rick. Thanks for pointing that out. I feel anything but amazing today. This poetry thing will be the death of me. I want to stop trying....it's just too hard. Anyway....thanks for the visit.
