Until Now

You've got yourself a past now don't you boy? A list of loves that didn't last, a lonely future you couldn't avoid. Until now. All I've known is loss. I'm braced for the life of the lonely. I'm dying in a world where everyone is boss except for me. Until now. Your touch drives me crazy, you don't try to own me, you make me free. Gonna love you down with an embrace wider than this town. I'm not gonna hold you down. We've been held down and owned. Until now. I'm not trying to own you. I want to...love you. I want you to be mine, yes but I want you to own yourself. Your kiss sets me free and you let my own hand hold my own key. My love is all yours because my heart chose and I know... when the future is here, you'll be in it. I'll drink your tears and you'll know my secrets. We'll heal each other of our pasts we'll laugh about them when we can. You've hurt and I've cried, felt like dirt and tied up up up. Felt choiceless, dumbed down and voiceless and grounded down down down. Until now.
