I decided to make a haibun using my comment on my previous poem, "While Brushing My Teeth."  My muse likes to recycle.

When I was very young, I learned how to tie my shoes in a tight double knot, but I couldn't untie them. I tried and tried but to no avail. I was stubborn and didn't want to ask for help, but eventually, I had to ask Mom or Dad to help me. And they did. It makes you wonder, who will untie the hard knots that humanity's responsible for? who will rescue us creation or creator ... what of our children? 2/26/2023 It Means A Lot To Me Poetry Contest Sponsor: Regina McIntosh

Wonderful thoughts... I hadn't thought about how difficult it is to learn to tie your shoes when you're little in a long, long time... maybe never. Such a thought provoking write. Love it. God bless you. Love, Gina

You have left a deep question for us to ponder, illustrating your childhood experience. You had your Dad and Mom to help and answer you then, but who is there now to answer the question you have hurled. A powerful Haibun dear Mark .
