Unsteady Glow

Everything that was of an animal born Must slowly yield to tear and be worn, Your deceptive charm debates with time Soliciting some seconds more of show, Whether this is granted the heavens know But in the end the waiting bells must chime. You walk gaily the unconquered beauty With strides that make saints feel guilty, And casting eyes that make pilgrims pause, As the glowing sun slowly casts its shadow Upon your refinement and glittering glow, You will be left to mourn your steady loss.

Absolutely stunning verse here, Hannington...such glows never do last. Humility is key. Always, Laura
