Unseen Land

Bright rays of light shine through the leaves, warming my face, the paths are trampled, footprints sunk in the muddy ground, drops of water rest on leaves, ticks wait to grasp onto passing victims, clouds roll slowly through the sky, imitating daily life and abstract art, birds unseen yell at each other, and motors roar in the distance, reminding me I'm an alien in a foreign land.
