Unknown
I've read too many books
I've heard too many songs
I've seen too many things
to know where I belong.
To know where I fit in
along which walk of life.
I yearn not for the truth
But for a guiding light
I want to find a prince
A struggle, and a quest
I want to fight with skill
a sword upon my waist
I want to scream and yell
with all the angry crowds
I want to conquer all,
and rest in golden halls
I want my words to weave
a canopy of life
I want my stories told
To children when I die
I want to live a life
of beauty, love, and war
I want my eyes to shine,
I want my wings to soar
Alas it cannot be
The time for that is past
My dreams will never be
The world I long for never was
It's driven me insane
For when I hear the calls,
the symphony of where I ought to be
it's Powersurging thrall
The tears begin to flow
For what I'll never see
The minds that wrought my world
are cruel minds indeed.
