This is an Ode about Israel. The sea of Galilee is the lowest fresh water lake in the world and the dead sea is the lowest place on Earth (lines 5 & 6); Hebrew and Arabic are its official languages (line 8). It is the first country to ban underweight models (line 9); it is the gay capital of the middle east (lines 10 & 11) and many more....

A little porcupine in the midst of hungry pythons; her quills are a danger to each attempted swallow; trouble grows tall from the moment she existed; And once upon a time, in six days a gang is conquered by her might. She’s characterized by waters so low, from the dead one to the Sea of Galilee. She’s an open museum for religious sight seeing with official mother tongues coming from her own conflicting world. Her stamp against size zero maidens stood as the first; she’s the main and king’s banquet hall for same sex feasts in the entire middle east; a trail blazer in the voice mail technology and a breeding town for chess grand masters; all sums up to the glorious inscription of her crown. Even with her wonderful friendship with friends quite far she’s still most hated by those very close.

I also did not know of whom or what you spoke so eloquently. My friend this is free verse or prose poetry an Ode is a very specific form with an end ryhme pattern BUT I am thrilled to see you moving away from the acrostic form- you have mastered it - time to learn something new. (alos I have no idea why you would think of some of these things as typically Israel? Light & Love

An excellent and fitting ode to Israel, Funom. Each lines carries meaning, describing the country's history and other points of interest. Information is transmitted in a most delightful poetic way. #7 // paul
