Unexpected Twist
Silence shutters in through the fresh air
streaked windows painted in despair
star struck visions seek the light
hidden inside the distant night

Smoke-filled eyes blink
gasps trying to think
a whisper heard
no just a bird

so missed
a twist
sighs
why
