Understand, You Don'T Understand

You are strong and continue to be, Some of us didn’t have that luxury, we are alone, You take pills to go to sleep, I take pills to end my heartbeat, Some of us only want to kill the damned bleakness, You are a fool in your ignorance and call it weakness, Some us embrace the idea to end our miserable existence, You read it in the papers and call him or her an idiot, Some of us see no alternative when they sap our spirit, You must understand that you don’t understand, The darkness that descends on the tortured commands our hand, Carrying out an act so heinous and wicked to you, Can free us from the **** this life has dealt for few, While you talk of another’s action and call it stupid, You cannot understand how badly their lives have been ruined, While you sit there and talk of your son with pride, In my mind I scream at you that I too was once on the cusp of suicide, You do not understand your son once wished to die.
