Under the Yum Yum Tree
under the yum yum tree
with bubble gum leaves
hanging from the banana limb
swaying to and fro against the wind
laughing and giggling
with your ten toes wiggling
and the lemon sun
shines just for fun
lick a strip of peppermint bark
if your tummy ever smarts
from eating candy treats
bequeath by the tree so sweet
under the yum yum tree
napping on lime grass velvety
waking to sip from her honey dew dips
so fruity that the colors stain your lips
smiles are big the games are fun
there's always enough for everyone
under the yum yum tree
a place for the young to be
for if inside you are old and sour
you'll never see her flower
a child's innocence is all you need
to play under the yum yum tree.
