My dear precious child…. But, for the life of me I do not know how anything could be more beautiful than the sight of you asleep With your chubby, cherub cheeks in shades of rose and pink You've been bundled in a flannel gown in tiny roses I have found A soft cocoon will keep you warm Your tiny fingers wrap around ……. my own I hold you tight against my breast Your breath will catch my heart I have given it thought, and have decided that nothing of beauty could compare,... No sunrise, no sunset, no flowering garden, or forest of trees, no sonnet or melody, no fragrant spring breeze, I would,… if I could, ….paint this precious moment, and frame it,.... to hang in the confines of my heart,.... to keep you from ever growing older __________________________________________________________ 11/6/16 Contest: UNBEARABLE BEAUTY IN ____________ Sponsor: Frank Herrera
