A fight for freedom calls for sacrifice,
each country stays the course or else expires.
Our country fights for freedom everywhere
and sends out troops who pay the highest price.
True legends tell us greedy men entice,
then rob and murder, maim, enslave at will,
until the victims plead for urgent help.
A fight for freedom calls for sacrifice.
Yet God has those who care, abhor the vice
and come to aid the burdened in their quest
for freedom from the bearded thugs
and send out troops who pay the highest price.
A fight for freedom calls for sacrifice.
We mourn the cost but still accord the cause
and send out troops who pay the highest price.
