Ultimate Love
Though from dust I am made you gave me a name
Branded with a soul and washed in your blood
A precious gift given to guard and preserve
A token of the King's genuine love and affection
Then you sent me away to fulfill your purpose
Be a crutch to others as we journey for a time
My prayer, I will not fail as nagging distractions grow
And may I not be the cause of another’s deadly fall
I have weaknesses and some childish ways, still
Sometimes I get lost and my guilt-ridden heart is sad
Then your spirit reminds me, this journey’s not about me
The reason I exist today is solely to love, as you have willed
So when dark whispers come, that I’ll never please you
I smile and rejoice because I know who you are!
Let me bring love all my days; wherever there’s hate
As you are ultimate love, may I too, come to be!
