Two Lost Souls
Two lost souls, One melodic harp
Trying to make enough to eat.
Keeping senses sharp
Staying warm is such a feat
The Harp is their workplace,
Pennies thrown as they play,
Is there enough for supper?
Maybe a bed for them to lay.
They play for survival
Ice, cold, beneath their feet,
memories of parents, log fires
figgy pudding and Christmas treats.
Brings a mournful sound to the music,
tugging at passerbys hearts,
taking them home would make more logic,
giving two lost souls a fresh start.
