Two Butterflies
Two butterflies parted ways
on a warm, spring day
each with their own
dream to fulfill
the monarch,
in all its glory
dreamed of dancing
on the breeze
a vision of beauty
admired by all
floating weightless and free
with no particular destination
but bringing joy
with each graceful flutter
the blue pansy,
of little glory,
dreamed of home
in a garden
never to roam
with no fanfare
drinking sweet nectar
and pollinating her world
but bringing joy
with each new blossom
two butterflies
each with their own
dream to share
